Horseback Riding in Pinchot State Forest
Horses
may be ridden on all state forest roads and all shared-use trails in Pinchot State Forest -- including the 26 miles of the Thornhurst Snowmobile
Trail.
The Spruce Swamp Natural Area, Pinchot Trail, and Watres Loop are closed
to horseback riding and only open to foot traffic.
Horseback riders should be
aware that the 39 miles of shared-use trails across Pinchot State Forest
are utilized by many different user groups.
