Pennsylvania Trails Advisory Committee

The Pennsylvania Trails Advisory Committee is a 20-member, DCNR-appointed committee that represents both motorized and non-motorized trail users and advises the commonwealth on the use of state and federal trail funding.

The committee is charged with implementing the development of a statewide land and water trail network to facilitate recreation, transportation, and healthy lifestyles based on recommendations from the:

The committee also fulfills the federal requirement for Pennsylvania’s use of federal Recreational Trails Program funds and is administered by DCNR’s Bureau of Recreation and Conservation.

Announcement for Trails Advisory Committee Openings:

DCNR is currently accepting letters of interest for three committee appointments representing the following trail user groups.  Members serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2018. Please submit a cover letter and resume to RA-explorepatrails@pa.gov by November 17, 2017.

Announcement for Annual Report Submissions: The Trails Advisory Committee invites you to submit your 2017 trail accomplishments for inclusion in the 2017 Trails Annual Report. Your information helps us celebrate success and track progress toward building a statewide trail network. Submit a one-page narrative with pictures to RA-explorepatrails@pa.gov by December 15, 2017.
