Six-Week Summer Youth Crews
Crew members work in small teams for six weeks completing conservation projects, participating in environmental education days, and learning new skills. Members have the opportunity to earn wages and gain valuable work experience.
For 2022, six-week crews will work Tuesday, July 5, through Friday, August 12, in the following areas:
- Pittsburgh (ASL)
- Pittsburgh (non-ASL)
Summer Youth Schedule
Monday – Friday, from 7:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
*Conditions of Employment: New hires are required to demonstrate full vaccination status for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) with a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized or FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccine; or receive from the Student Conservation Association a reasonable accommodation granting an exemption from vaccine requirements based on a medical disability or because of a sincerely held religious belief.

Six-Week Summer Youth Crew Leaders
For the 2022 summer season, the Pa. Outdoor Corps is looking for qualified applicants to lead, educate, and inspire youth while completing conservation projects in state parks, forests, and other outdoor spaces across Pennsylvania.
Crew Leaders train, supervise, and guide crews of six high school students, ages 15 to 18, on a variety of outdoor work projects, including trail construction, habitat restoration, and park maintenance, among others.

Monday, June 13 - Tuesday, August 16, 2022
Monday, June 13 - Friday, June 24, 2022 (Must be able to attend the full training)
Monday - Friday, 7:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
$700 per week, paid training, and career networking opportunities
