Free Camping for Campground and Marina Hosts

Nine host positions

The campground and marina host sites have amenities that include 50-amp electric service and water and sewer hookup. The Crooked Run Campground has host sites on each of the seven main loops that have 43 to 84 campsites each. Each loop has its own shower house. The Prince Gallitzin and Beaver Valley marinas each have a host campsite overlooking the marina docks and launches.

The host is required to assist park personnel for 40 hours-per-week, with a two-week minimum stay. In the area assigned, host responsibilities include:

  • Light maintenance tasks at campsites or marinas
  • Litter pickup
  • Evening checks of shower houses or docks
  • Promoting good public relations with campers and boaters

Some loops are closed seasonally, reducing the number of hosts needed during the spring and fall.

Contact the park office for additional information and availability.
