Kayaking and Canoeing at Oil Creek State Park

Oil Creek offers a scenic float and is classed as a beginner’s creek under normal conditions.

It is recommended to float Oil Creek when water levels are a minimum of 2.75 feet for kayaks and 3.0 feet for canoes. Water levels at 5.0 feet or more are not recommended. Water levels can change rapidly. Check water levels at the USGS website or by calling the park office.

Generally, the boating season is from March to early June.
