Bald Eagle State Park

Bendigo State Park

Little Pine State Park

Lyman Run State Park
Beach -- The 300-foot sand beach is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. A modern bathhouse with flush toilets, changing rooms, snack bar and boat rental is the centerpiece of the beach area. This is a smoke-free beach.
Mount Pisgah State Park

Pool -- The swimming pool is open from 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. -- Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, unless otherwise posted. The pool depth ranges from eight inches to five feet, and includes a ramp for people with disabilities. The pool complex contains dressing rooms, showers, restrooms, and a lifeguard and first aid station. A snack bar offers food and beverages. Swimming is prohibited in the lake.
Ole Bull State Park
Beach -- The 150-foot sandy beach along Kettle Creek is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. The beach is located in Camping Area #1 across from the picnic area. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. Parking for the beach area is provided at the picnic area parking lot. This is a smoke-free beach.
Parker Dam State Park

Raymond B. Winter State Park
Beach -- The 300-foot white sand swimming beach is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. The beach area includes restrooms, dressing facilities, a beach volleyball court, and a children’s play area. This is a smoke-free beach.
Sizerville State Park

Pool -- The free, 105-foot long concrete pool, with an adjacent wading pool, is open from 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. -- Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, unless otherwise posted. The maximum depth is five feet. There is a lift in the pool for people with disabilities.
Southern Pennsylvania State Park Beaches and Pools
The following state parks in southern Pennsylvania have swimming beaches or pools.
Blue Knob State Park

Pool -- Weather permitting, the free swimming pool is open daily, from 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. -- from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, unless posted otherwise. The pool is only open on weekends for the first two weeks of the summer season. Pool depth ranges from two to five feet. Weekday and evening use is recommended. For visitor safety, diving in the pool is prohibited.
Caledonia State Park

Canoe Creek State Park

Beach -- The sand beach is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- May to September. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. Swim at your own risk. The sand beach is 350 feet long and has a grass sunning area and sand play areas. The bathhouse has showers and dressing booths. A snack bar by the swimming beach carries a variety of fast food and drink items. This is a smoke-free beach.
Codorus State Park

Pool -- Sitting on a bluff overlooking Lake Marburg, the pool and sprayground are open from 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. during the summer. The pool has a ramp for people with disabilities. A fee is charged for pool use. Swimmers arriving after 4:00 P.M. receive a discount. Season passes are available at the park office. The pool is very popular and reaches capacity on holidays and many weekends. Mid-week swimming is often less crowded. A seasonal snack bar has hot and cold foods and beverages. Due to the extreme water level fluctuations of Lake Marburg, it is impossible to maintain a swimming beach. Swimming in the lake is prohibited.
Colonel Denning State Park

Greenwood Furnace State Park

Beach -- A 300-foot sand beach is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. A modern shower house, dressing area, and snack bar are nearby. This is a smoke-free beach.
Little Buffalo State Park

Pool -- A state-of-the art swimming pool, which is nearly half an acre in size, sits along Holman Lake and is open from 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. The pool opens for the Memorial Day weekend, then weekends only until the second weekend in June when it begins seven days a week operation until mid-August. Please call the park office for the official opening date and late season schedule. The pool varies in depth from one to five feet and has 17- and 11-foot waterslides and a sprayground. The pool has a capacity of 1,285 swimmers and has a ramp for people with disabilities. A
fee is charged for pool use. Swimmers arriving after 4:00 P.M. receive a discount. Season passes are available at the park office. The pool is very popular and reaches capacity on holidays and many weekends. Mid-week swimming is often less crowded.
Pine Grove Furnace State Park

Beaches -- The beaches at Fuller and Laurel lakes are open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- May 1 to September 30. Laurel Beach is swim at your own risk. Fuller Beach has lifeguards on duty from 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. daily between Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, unless otherwise posted. Please follow posted rules for swimming when lifeguards are off duty. Swimmers at Laurel Lake and especially at Fuller Lake are advised to exercise caution because of the extreme depths and cold subsurface waters. Fuller Beach is a smoke-free beach.
Prince Gallitzin State Park

Beach -- Muskrat Beach is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. A food concession, modern bathhouses, dressing rooms, volleyball courts, and a large picnic area are in and around the swimming area. Campers can swim at the Campground Beach in the campground. Shawnee State Park

Beltzville State Park

Recreational scuba diving is prohibited. A food and refreshment concession at the swimming beach is open daily (weather permitting) during the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day). Frances Slocum State Park

French Creek State Park

fee is charged for pool use. The pool is near the shore of the lake and provides a beautiful setting for swimmers and sunbathers. Certified lifeguards are on duty when the pool is open. Swimming is prohibited in either lake.
Gouldsboro State Park

Hickory Run State Park

Lackawanna State Park

Locust Lake State Park
Beach -- The beach is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. Swimming areas are marked with buoys and have a maximum depth of five and a half feet. Swimmers can buy food and snacks at the campstore/boat rental. This is a smoke-free beach.
Marsh Creek State Park

Pool -- The ADA-accessible “L” shaped swimming pool and sprayground is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, unless posted otherwise. The guarded pool attracts many visitors. A snack bar, large grassy area, and bathhouse are located at the swimming pool complex. A fee is charged for pool use. A pavilion is available to rent.
Neshaminy State Park

Pool -- The main pool and children’s spray pool are open from the Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day. Regular hours for weekends and holidays are 10:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M., and 10:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., weekdays, unless otherwise posted. Lifeguards are on duty when the pools are open. A
fee is charged for pool use. Swimming is prohibited in the Delaware River from Neshaminy State Park.
Nockamixon State Park

Pool -- Weather permitting, the swimming pool hours are 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. The pool operates on a weekend-only schedule from Memorial Day weekend through the second weekend in June -- when it shifts to a daily schedule. The pool will resume weekend-only operation from mid-August through Labor Day weekend. Check the advisories tab for updates. The swimming pool complex includes a half acre main pool with two waterslides, a shallow end with fountains for children, dressing rooms, first aid station, and snack bar.
Swimming lessons are provided by the lifeguards. The pool is available for party rentals from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M., and 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. A fee is charged for pool use, with reduced rates after 5:45 P.M. Seasonal passes and group tickets for non-profit organizations can be purchased at the park office. A valid Pennsylvania identification is needed for resident rates.
Promised Land State Park
Beaches -- Two sand beaches are open daily from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. The main beach is in the Day-Use Picnic Area. The Pickerel Point Beach is on the end of Pickerel Point. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. There are no lifeguards. This is a smoke-free beach.
Ricketts Glen State Park
Beach -- The 600-foot beach is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. Swim at your own risk. Please follow posted rules and regulations. This is smoke-free beach.
Tobyhanna State Park
Beach -- The sand beach at Tobyhanna State Park is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend to mid-September. Swim at your own risk. Please follow posted rules. The Tobyhanna bathhouse has flush toilets and changing areas. Showers are available for a fee. This is a smoke-free beach.
Tuscarora State Park
Beach -- The sand beach is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. Swimming areas are marked with buoys and have a maximum depth of five and a half feet. This is a smoke-free beach.
Worlds End State Park
Beach -- A small dam on Loyalsock Creek forms a swimming beach and area that is open from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, sunrise to sunset. The mountain stream water is always cold and exhilarating. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules for swimming. This is a smoke-free beach.
Western Pennsylvania State Park Beaches and Pools

Clear Creek State Park

Laurel Hill State Park

Beach -- A 1,200-foot sand beach is open from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- late-May to mid-September. Swim at your own risk. Please read and follow posted rules. Swimming is only permitted within the designated buoy areas. Maximum depth is five feet. The beach has an ADA-accessible ramp to the lake, an ADA-accessible beach wheelchair, and an ADA-accessible restroom. A food concession is available from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This is a smoke-free beach.
Moraine State Park

Beaches -- Swimming is permitted at two beaches along the shore of Lake Arthur daily, from 8:00 A.M. to sunset -- Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day unless otherwise posted. The Pleasant Valley Beach on the South Shore is a 1,200-foot turf and sand beach and has a paved path into the water. A sand volleyball court and playground are on the west side of the beach. Lakeview Beach on the North Shore is a 550-foot sand beach. Showers, changing facilities, and food concessions are available at both beaches. Both are smoke-free beaches.
Presque Isle State Park

Beaches -- The sandy beaches, washed by the clear waters of Lake Erie, provide visitors with the only surf swimming within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Beaches are open daily from 10:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. -- Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day, unless otherwise posted. Barracks Beach, the Mill Road Beaches, and Beach 11 are smoke-free.
Pymatuning State Park
